My current research interests are in eyewitness identification, eyewitness memory and related areas of face recognition. The transformation of the science into public law enforcement policy has become an important extension of my work. The contrasts and relationships between the two knowledge systems -- customary knowledge and scientific knowledge -- has become more interesting (and more troublesome) in my thinking about the psychology-law interface.
